Walnut trees wake up from their winter's rest in late March with a two week bloom. The nuts pollinated in the bloom will grow throughout the summer and make our crop for the Fall. In September the crop is ready and harvest begins. The trees are harvested with machinery and taken immediately to be dried. Walnuts are dried to 8% moisture so they can be stored. Once dried, the nuts are available for sale either as they are, or will be shelled.
